Urinary Incontinence

Urinary incontinence is the inability to control urination. It is usually caused by poor bladder support from the pelvic floor muscles – sometimes as a result of childbirth, sometimes menopause.

Stress incontinence is the leakage of urine when you do anything that strains or stresses the abdomen (which pushes on the pelvic floor), such as coughing, sneezing, laughing, running or even walking. Sufferers will often avoid all active sports; bouncing on the trampoline with little ones is simply out of the question.

Urge incontinence is the sudden urge to urinate when your bladder unwillingly contracts, it is also known as an overactive bladder (OAB). Sufferers have a strong urge to go to the toilet even when the bladder is not full. The woman may not be able to get there in time.

Many women suffer from both types. It is estimated that 1 in 3 women suffer from incontinence – a huge statistic! And so unnecessary!

“I think I suffered from urge incontinence for most of my life, even before childbirth. I had what was termed as a ‘Woolworth’s bladder’, constantly going to the toilet. One drink of water would have me peeing half a dozen times over the next hour. I suffered sleep loss as I would get up to go to the toilet 2 to 3 times a night, and if I made the mistake of having a hot drink before bed, well… then I would be on the toilet most of the night. ‘As you do’, I just accepted this as a fact of life. However after using the Kegelmaster I can now report that I am having some of the best uninterrupted sleeps I have ever had. I can even have a hot milo at bedtime and still sleep all night without waking for the toilet. It’s amazing!”

The Kegelmaster can act as a treatment to eliminate urinary incontinence. By strengthening the pelvic floor muscles, using the Kegelmaster’s progressive resistance ingenuity, you NO LONGER NEED TO SUFFER from these embarrassing conditions.

“What annoys me is that women are led to believe it’s just something you have to accept and put up with. And it’s just NOT! It’s not a normal sign of aging! Take the TV ads for panty-liners for example – they have to sell their product I guess, which is why they don’t tell you that the problem can be solved and easily. I had been buying a packet of liners each week for the last two years. After using the Kegelmaster for just two weeks I was able to stop using them and have not bought anymore since.”

This is so true! The demand for relief from incontinence has generated a multi-million dollar industry for pharmaceutical companies and panty-liner/adult nappy manufacturers.

It is disappointing to see advertisements selling panty-liners – you won’t find any information how to cure stress incontinence – quite the opposite. By making incontinence seem ‘the norm’ they protect their industry, and offer very little help and education for women looking to overcome the condition.
